I’ve tried a few different shift knob options, but most aftermarket knobs don’t have the transmission shift pattern embossed like the OEM knobs. Adam at revlimiter.net offers a variety of different shift pattern plates for some retro flair.

I used a different double-sided tape than the one revlimiter provides. The red included foam tape is thick and would make the shift plate look like it was floating. The thinner tape I used (leftovers from my steering wheel re-wrap kit) seemed to work well.
